Draft forestry ACoP for review

Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) – Safe Practice for Forestry & Harvesting Operations

Worksafe is updating the forestry guidance and is looking for feedback from industry. Below are links to sections of the ACoP currently out for feedback. (Note feedback from workshops held by WorkSafe during November might not have been incorporated in these drafts yet.)

How to give feedback 

Please provide feedback in writing, by emailing directly to WorkSafe at:  GuidanceandEducationDevelopment@worksafe.govt.nz 

 What would Worksafe like to hear? 

The main purpose is to let WorkSafe know if there is anything missing that you think should be there, or if there is anything wrong. These are early drafts so things such as writing style and exact wording is not something to worry about at this stage. 

If you can’t give feedback now, you will have other opportunities. 

Once the guidance is ready, WorkSafe will send it out for public consultation where you will also have the chance to give your thoughts.
