What is the Safetree Certified Contractor Register?

The Safetree Certified Contractor Register lists Safetree Certified contractors who have been assessed as meeting industry standards for professionalism and safety. A campaign advertising the Register is about to begin, to ensure all new harvesting and silviculture work is performed by Safetree Certified Contractors. 

Just because you are a Safetree Certified Contractor, you’re won’t automatically on the Safetree Certified Contractor Register.

How to get on the Register  

You can get on the Safetree Certified Contractor Register by completing the Eco Portal Desktop Audit.  Follow these instructions to complete your registration with EcoPortal:

1. Look in your inbox for a registration email from EcoPortal > if you can’t see it, check your SPAM folder or email certification@safetree.nz or phone 0800 7233 123 to get the invite resent
2. Click on the email to register and follow the prompts 
3. Once registered, you’ll need to complete your “Desktop Audit“. We need this information for field audits to be allocated to auditors. Make sure you have copies of your insurance certificates to upload

Terms and Conditions of Prize Draw  

1. Any certified contractors listing on the Safetree Certified Contractor Register by 31 August 2022 will go in the draw for 1 of 5 $100 Hunting and Fishing Vouchers.
2. The promotion ends strictly at midnight on Wednesday 31 August 2022.
3. You must be a current Safetree certified contractor to be eligible. There is a limit of 1 entry per certified contracting company. Safetree / Forest Industry Safety Council staff are not eligible to enter.
4. The prize will be drawn by Safetree. All winner decisions are final. The prize vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
5. Prize can be mailed to you. A Safetree staff member will contact you to arrange this once the prize has been drawn.
