Thanks for attending the first Safetree Conference, Partnering for Change held by FISC and FICA in Christchurch last week.
About 150 people registered for the event from across the industry. That made it a great opportunity to network and share stories, in addition to hearing from the presenters and visiting the trade stands.
Feedback to date has been extremely positive, with nearly everyone saying they were impressed with the event and that they left with new ideas. Overall, there was support for alternating the conference between the North and South Islands each year. Most people wanted it held in the first quarter. With that in mind, we’re looking at dates and locations for next year’s event and will send you a ‘hold the date’ invite soon. FICA are sending out a short survey, and if you haven’t already done so we’d appreciate you giving us your feedback on the conference.
There were some great ‘take home’ messages from the conference. These include how investing in the wellbeing of people, and involving workers in planning the work, can help make businesses safer and more successful. You can find links to the presenters’ slides, and other resources from the conference, below.
Thanks for supporting this event and we look forward to seeing you next year.
