Safetree’s produced a resource to help manage visitor safety on forestry sites.

It includes an example of a Visitor Registration Form for visitors to fill out once they have been given a safety briefing. This can be printed off, or sent to a printer to be made into a pad.

Safetree’s also produced a short video to guide you through the process.

The Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) reinforces the responsibility of businesses to make sure everyone stays safe in the workplace – including authorised visitors.

The best way to do this is to ensure all visitors are given a safety briefing. A good safety briefing will also help you manage ‘overlapping duties’ – that’s when more than one business is doing work on a work site.
